Today we explore Himatangi Beach with B-dog (aka Boston). We had such a beautiful Winters day that we had to go out to the beach and enjoy the sun, and might as well take some photos while I'm there. ;) It's a nice beach with driftwood all around the mouth of the river that ends at the Tasman Sea. The beach is always changing with the weather and the sand dunes keep the locals safe from rough seas. The sand dunes there are one of the biggest in NZ for the area. They extend about 20km across the coastline. The beach is located 30 minutes West from Palmerston North and about 2 hours North of Wellington. There are plenty of activities to do at the beach ranging from fishing, including whitebaiting, to surfing or just driving along the coastline. Just make sure you have 4x4 on your vehicle.
As always, you can see how the image was created on my YouTube channel.
